The White Issue Digital Magazine Is Now Ready For Viewing

 

I just finished my third digital magazine called The White Issue.  It has lots of photos of Paris architectural elements in the color white.  I hope you enjoy what I have put together for you this time.

Paris Daily Photo: Musee Camondo Painting

 

Back to pretty things in Paris, here is a painting on the second floor of Musee Nissim de Camondo in the Huet Salon.  This is my favorite house museum in Paris.  There is a tragic family history behind all this beauty.  I highly recommend anyone traveling to Paris not miss this museum. 

This painting is titled Shepherd Entrusting a Letter to a Dove, one of seven canvases by Jean Baptiste Huet in the room.  c. 1775

Paris Daily Photo: View From Top of Notre Dame

 

Today's Paris photo is a view from the top of Notre Dame.  There are 422 steps up the spiral staircase to the top.  And 422 back down.  Well, if I can do it, you can too.

Today I migrated from FeedBurner to FeedBlitz.  A bit painful but I think I got it.

Pastry shops are sprinkled throughout the city of Paris.  I didn't indulge much.  Good place to get a loaf of bread.

The sidewalk cafes add to the romantic atmosphere of Paris.  They are expensive though.  Order wine.  Don't order a Coke or a beer.

Paris Daily Photo: Is Paris Ugly???

 

You always hear how beautiful and romantic Paris is.  But Paris is like any big city.  It has its ugly places as well.  There is graffiti on buildings even in the nicest parts of town.  I took photos of much worse than this which I might show sometime.

Paris Daily Photo: King Louis XIII's Statue

 

Today's Paris photo is of the statue of King Louis XIII who ruled for 33 years from 1610 to 1643.  This is a replacement statue that deteriorated made in 1633 and replaced in 1829.  It is in the park at Place des Vosges.

The City of Paris provides bikes for rent -- thousands of them.  What I can't figure out is how they keep them so clean.

Vehicle traffic on the streets of Paris is fierce.  I'm not sure I have the nerve to ride a bike in the middle of all those cars.

Today's photo of Paris is the rear doorway on the back courtyard side of the Petit Palais.  Note the RF insignia for the Republic of France. Built in 1900. Now the City of Paris Museum of Fine Art. Do you think this building has enough detail???

We just happened to be on the street sidewalk near Notre Dame when a group of royal mounties came by on their way to a French Presidential event.

I titled this shot the Young and the Seasoned.  The boy on the left looks so young compared to the more seasoned handsome face on the right. You can't help but notice how meticulous their uniforms, swords, tack and groomed horses are.

Today's photo is of the Grand Palais, finished May 1, 1900, located on Avenue Winston-Churchill, which is an exhibition hall.  I took this photo from the opposite bank of the Seine River so you could see the bridge.
