One of my favorite blogs that I follow is Trudy's Looks Like White. Here is the link. If you like white interiors, I highly recommend subscribing to it.
In today's post she showed a home in Amsterdam with Swedish Gustavian antiques. This photo just made me stop and gasp.
That Swedish secretary is 2Die4. But what caught my eye is the poster on the wall. I immediately recognized it as a painting in the Jacquemart-Andre museum in Paris. I had seen it before in art books. It is such a famous classic and was so surprised when I walked into the J-A museum and immediately saw it. So cool to see the original in person. I had no idea who owned the original painting. Apparently these posters are from the museum gift shop. But I have a better idea. I think I will take the photo of the painting I took then and have it put on canvas and frame it. Would look great like this with a Swedish antique table or desk or in a guest bedroom.
Here is what the original looks like -- a much larger view of it.
